Gaisce
Gaisce, The President's Award, is a prestigious award earned by students throughout the course of Transition Year who register and participate in a number of challenges.
"Gaisce" is the Irish word for "achievement" and the award was established in 1985 under the patronage of the President. There are three awards; bronze, silver and gold. The most common award for Transition Year students is the Bronze Award as it can be completed over a single school year. All the activities are completed outside of school hours.
Awards are presented to the students who agree and complete four personal challenges
