School Uniform

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We here in Maynooth Community College take great pride in our school uniform and we expect all our students to be in full school uniform at all times.

The uniform consists of the following items:

  1. School jumper with crest
  2. Light blue shirt/blouse
  3. School tie
  4. Navy trouser or kilt
  5. Dark Coloured (Black or Navy) leather or leather look formal shoes
  6. School Jacket (Two different styles of jacket are available)

Thank you for supporting us in our implementation of the school shoe policy last year. We will continue to monitor this in the coming year. In the light of this we are attaching samples of school shoes which are acceptable and also samples which are acceptable and
also samples which are not acceptable. If you have any queries in relation to this please contact the school.

It is compulsory for all students to wear our school jackets. In conjunction with the students, staff, PTA and the uniform subcommittee we have sourced a choice of two styles school jackets. Both are available from SAVI clothing (

It is advisable to name tag all items of uniform.

Full school uniform must be worn every day.
If a student arrives to school out of uniform, home will be contacted and a parent/guardian will be requested to collect their child from school or provide the required uniform.

We thank you in advance for your support and co-operation with this matter.
