All students from Maynooth Education Campus who participated in extracurricular activities during this academic year have been or will be issued with a book of raffle tickets over the course of the next few days.
Each year the school incurs significant cost in facilitating and encouraging students to participate in these activities. With this in mind our annual sports raffle returns with the only change being that this year we will be donating all funds raised to the Dillon Quirke Foundation.( Next year the raffle will return to its usual purpose of raising funds to cover extracurricular costs.)
Dillon was a former Tipperary hurler who passed away last August on the pitch in Semple Stadium as a result of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
His family have set up a foundation to raise money for screening juvenile players for heart conditions.
All tickets to be returned by Friday 19th of May for the draw to be conducted on Monday 22nd of May.
We will have a seller's prize of a smart tablet also for the student who sells the most tickets.
